Bush Pig Lifer !

The day started with the usual geraas across the campsite, so we packed to spend the day in the park where we could get peace and quiet.
No sooner had we picked our route that we got notification of a Bush pig sunning itself near Gwarrie pan ... we doubled back and there we found it! Mammal lifer for us both, my 101 ! It was happily munching on the grass with the occasional rub in the mud before it turned to head up the hill.
A quick pitstop for lunch at Jack's again, and we headed down south for an entertaining drive around Harvey's Loop... it was peppered with poop, but not a single elephant in sight. Plenty of warthog as usual with a scattering of Kudu.
Back at Lismore there were 2 buffaloes, but more exciting was the oxpecker hitching a ride. Actually we saw quite a few random buffaloes today, but just one oxpecker.
Took a detour to Arizona Dam along the "public road" OMG that definitely requires a 4x4. Not much at the dam except plenty of black headed herons, and the hillsides had a fair amount of zebra and hartebees.
Spotted 2 gorgeous jackals on the way back, but missed out on the bat eared foxes, so will try for those tomorrow.
Happy that our caravan is really 5* and that we have a microwave to heat up leftovers :-)
