the northern white-breasted hedgehog (Erinaceus roumanicus). It's the species found throughout Hungary and most of Eastern Europe, replacing the West European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) roughly east of a contact zone running through Central Europe. They're common in Budapest's parks and gardens.
