Travel day to Addo
Mostly uneventful day. Woke to the sounds of a million Egyptian geese, quick tea and rusks for breakfast so we could attempt to get to Addo by 1pm-ish... well arrived at 3.30pm after a shopping stop in Sedgefield and lunch stop in Plett. Just by the way, the Ford Everest is a fantastic car to drive with speedo cruise, love how it breaks for you when approaching slow traffic, what a pleasure the drive was. I understand why my brother in the US loves his Teslas.
Addo set up was quick thanks to the help of the regular staff on hand. Time to braai and quick walk to the waterhole hide, we could hear the elephants (just out of view) having a great time splashing around like kids in a pool on the first day of summer!
Gone is the peace and quiet of Wilderness.... this campsite is as noisy as anything, so excited to get out into the park tomorrow and be surrounded by nature and noisy elephants instead.
