Perfect upon arrival.
We had let Ewald know our approximate arrival time and he had already got the wood-fired hot tub going. But let me not get ahead of myself, the drive in was on good farm gravel roads with tons of beuatiful Blue Cranes (SA's national bird) in the fields, then onto their farm it was a little more soft and rocky but nothing that an ordinary car can't handle.
We booked their Truffle unit which was just a little bit more than the other ones which appeared a little more rustic. These units however are all lovely, took a sneak peak into the ones which were not occupied. Ours is bright and sunny with the lounge, dining and hot tub area surrounded by glass sliding doors. Open plan kitchen with huge fireplace. Then there are 2 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms of decent size, and the main has a huge glass panel to let the beautiful mountain side in (no, there are no hiking trails going past the window).
We spent the rest of the day indoors playing Catan & Scrabble & hottubbing .... should have checked the weather report for Sat & Sun and planned our hike for Friday.
