Tiana Stanton: Firstly this was a very special weekend as not only was it Jessica’s 25th Birthday weekend celebration, but we were getting to take my Mom on the camping trip with us.
First stop along the R60, the best Cheese Shop, outside Swellendam to stock up on our cheese supply – can never have enough cheese in this family. Second stop (5km before Heidelberg on the N2) was the incredible “Die Skeerhok Padstal”. https://www.dieskeerhok.co.za/ What an amazing place…. Little farm animals to feed, playground for the kids. Tables set up inside and outside with a lovely cosy ambience. Fabulous food. Books to read and all the usual yummy padstal goodies to buy. And spotlessly clean toilet facilities. Definite worthwhile stop.
Booked in at Wilderness Ebb & Flow North Camp with a lovely little bungalow for my Mom and our campsite in front of it along the river’s edge. Decent size campsite and as it was not too busy this weekend there was lots of space around.
