I joined the Land Rover Family Club ( lrfc.co.za ) on a drive from Somerset West through to Franschoek via gravel roads and some detours .
We traveled along the lesser used gravel roads through Elgin to Botriver and Caledon and along the banks of the Theewaterskloof dam and up the spectacular Franschoek Pass to our lunch destination at the Franschoek station pub
